Teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic dental procedure offered by Dr. Barton H. Foutz, DDS.

Teeth Whitening Henderson

Dr. Barton H. Foutz, DDS offers several Teeth whitening procedures to meet most everyone’s needs and budget.  All are designed to whiten your teeth as comfortably and as quickly as possible.  Under the supervision of Dr. Foutz, our whitening treatments are completely safe and will not harm teeth or gums.

IN-OFFICE PROCEDURE – Patients desiring the fastest results choose the in-office procedure featuring Opalescence Boost PF.  The Boost Whitening process uses a high-concentration peroxide gel that absorbs quickly and thoroughly,  whitening teeth from the inside out in less than one hour.  Opalescence teeth whitening gel also contains PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride),  which helps maintain the health of your teeth enamel throughout the whitening process.  At Dr. Barton H. Foutz, DDS, we place protective barriers and coatings on your lips, cheeks, and gums so that the strong peroxide has contact only with your teeth.  For the most brilliant whitening, you may need 2 or 3 treatments.

AT-HOME PROCEDURE – Other patients (especially those with very sensitive teeth) may prefer to manage the whitening process at home.  Dr. Foutz supervises this method from your custom-fitted mouth trays to the most effective bleaching gel formulation for your desired results.  Opalescence offers take-home whitening gels in 3 concentrations and 4 flavors in handy syringe dispensers.  Using Opalescence gels and take-home trays for 10-14 days, you will get professional whitening results in the comfort of your own home.

COMBINATION PROCEDURE – Sometimes,  patients will use the in-office dental whitening procedure as a jump-start to an at-home teeth whitening procedure in order to maximize and prolong their results.

MAINTENANCE PROTOCOLS – You can expect, on average, that with a Foutz Family Dental professional whitening system your teeth will get 5 shades whiter.  With good home dental care using products like Opalescence Whitening Toothpastes you can maintain optimal whiteness indefinitely.  And, if you have the take-home trays, you can purchase additional Opalescence gel syringes from Foutz Family Dental anytime you want a touch up.

OTHER OPTIONS – Teeth that are discolored from tetracycline or excessive fluoride are not good candidates for bleaching.  Still, even these dark teeth will whiten to some degree with long-term compliance.  Whitening techniques can work for tetracycline staining only if the discoloration is mild.  If there are banded or layered types of staining, the best that can be expected is simply an overall lightening of the bands of color.  Porcelain Veneers are the best solution for these cases.

At Dr. Barton H. Foutz, DDS we look forward to helping you get the bright, stunning smile you want!
