Received advanced dental training (gold work) at Loyola University in Chicago in 1890
Concurrent with his dental practice, he operated an Indian trading company between Utah, Arizona and New Mexico
In the 1920's, after four of his sons had become dentists, he joined their group practice in Ogden, Utah
